6 Things My Husband Did to Help Me Heal
Friday, March 17, 2017 by Lynn Marie Cherry

I blamed my husband for all of the suffering in my world. I did nothing to deserve the pain of betrayal. I didn't sign up for it. I was blindsided by his struggle with pornography.

I had a good life, a secure childhood, a great college experience. I made it into my twenties before experiencing trauma or loss. And then this. I held my husband personally accountable for the deepest wound on my soul. It was a heavy burden for him to bear, and he suffered under the weight of my judgement.

But as we walked through years of recovery, an amazing transformation happened. The person who hurt me became the person who helped me heal.

He couldn't heal me. He couldn't fix me. He couldn't do my work. But he did his work and he did several other things that made my heart feel safe again.

Wonderful job on Keep Walking! This is a powerful tool for women to have as they navigate the pain of recovering from betrayal by the one who should have protected and cherished them.
